NEW YORK, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- A New York restaurateur and Lady Gaga fan says he has re-created the pop diva's "meat dress" in prime cuts of beef worth $100,000.

The pop diva wore the over-the-top outfit at last month's MTV Video Music Awards, but Old Homestead Steakhouse owner Marc Sherry says it looked "very tacky" since it was fashioned from flank steak, so the admitted Gaga fan decided to make one out of prime cuts, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday.

The 85-pound dress was fashioned from porterhouse steaks, with rib eye leggings and Kobe beef boots, all USDA prime.

"It smells so good," Mery Lopez, 26, a waitress-turned-model who bravely posed with the edible attire, said. "It's heavy, but not that much."

"Wear it for an hour, have fun with it. ... Then you might have enough meat for six months for your freezer," Sherry said. "So that the $100,000 is not that expensive."
