GARDNER, Mo., Oct. 13 (UPI) -- A Missouri woman said a no-kill animal shelter reunited her with a Siberian husky mix she had not seen in two years.

Dana Klint of Gardner said she saw photos Saturday on the Web site of Mission shelter Pet Connection and immediately recognized the dog as Faith, a 15-year-old mix she had left with an ex-boyfriend nearly four years ago and hadn't seen in two years, The Kansas City (Mo.) Star reported Wednesday.

"I was in tears when I found it was really her," Klint said.

Pet Connection officials said the canine, which had apparently been living on the streets for several months, was positively identified using photos Klint possessed that showed the dog's distinctive markings.

Klint brought Faith home Sunday and said the dog is settling in well at her home.

"You can still feel her ribs," Klint said. "I'm still working on putting some weight on her."
