Police: Bank burglary lookout slept

MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Police in Florida said the lookout man for a pair of wanna-be bank burglars was found sleeping in the parking lot.

Miami Beach police said Ricardo Barrios, 23, was asleep in the parking lot of the Wachovia bank Sunday morning when officers responded to an alarm and discovered Juan Jesus Hernandez, 22, and Oscar Montoya, 29, inside the facility, the Miami Herald reported Tuesday.

Police said Montoya surrendered and exited the bank but Hernandez attempted to hide above ceiling tiles on the second floor of the bank. He was discovered by police dogs and was caught while attempting to flee, police said.

Barrios was charged with resisting arrest without violence while Hernandez and Montoya were both charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools.
