'Naked Cowboy' plans presidential run

NEW YORK, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- The Naked Cowboy, a New York busker famous for playing the guitar in his underwear in Times Square, said he is running for president.

The cowboy, real name Robert John Burck, 39, posted a press release on his Web site, nakedcowboy.com, outlining his plan to run for president on a conservative platform, the New York Daily News reported Monday.

Burck, who began a campaign for New York mayor last year but dropped out of the race, said his presidential administration would defeat the Taliban, cut taxes, end illegal immigration, protect the second amendment and fight multiculturalism in public institutions.

Burck said he will officially announce his run Oct. 6.
