Other Justin Bieber struggles for identity

PHILADELPHIA, June 17 (UPI) -- A Philadelphia lawyer with a name famous for making teen girls scream -- Justin Bieber -- says he is struggling to differentiate himself from the pop star.

Justin Bieber, 32, of Clearfield, Kofsky & Penneys law firm in Philadelphia, said his name was seen as only a bit unusual and often misspelled before the young pop star, now 16, entered the world stage last summer, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Thursday.

"I started getting 50 to 60 friend requests a week on Facebook, and all of these messages that said, 'I love you' or 'I love it when you sing' or 'You're not Justin Bieber,'" the elder Bieber said.

Bieber, a personal injury attorney, said the name confusion also entered his professional life when the firm discussed how best to handle his name in marketing.

"At first they wanted me to use my middle name, but I don't go by Matte Bieber, so that would be even stranger," he said. "So, we went with Justin Matte Bieber."

The lawyer said he has picked up several new clients since the Justin Matte Bieber ads began running last month.
