LONDON, June 7 (UPI) -- A travel agency's survey suggests British men are three times as likely as women to accidentally injure themselves during vacations.

Travel agency Sunshine.co.uk said its online poll of about 2,000 Britons found 34 percent of male respondents and 11 percent of female respondents had suffered injuries while on vacations, The Mirror reported Monday.

The company said the most common causes of injury cited by respondents were falls resulting from slippery pool areas or too much to drink.

"This shows that women obviously take more care and responsibility," spokesman Chris Brown said. "While men are more up for having fun and throwing caution to the wind during vacations, their female counterparts keep a level head and consciously try to avoid accidents and illness."
