BRIDGETOWN, Ohio, April 20 (UPI) -- An Ohio woman said she opened a can of spaghetti to serve to her daughter and discovered a dead rodent at the top of the container.

Jennifer Aker said she opened the container at lunchtime Thursday at her Bridgetown home and was immediately confronted with a disgusting sight, Kypost.com reported Tuesday.

"I opened it up and my face was very close to it and immediately you could tell there was a dead rodent on top, in fact you couldn't even see the spaghetti and meatballs at all," Aker said.

Aker said she contacted ConAgra foods, the manufacturer of the canned spaghetti, and officials asked for a picture of the discovery. She said her nephew, Daniel, took a video of the can.

"I don't know how it happened, you know, but I don't want it to happen again, or if there is a problem, please fix it, please address it," Aker said.

She said ConAgra told her to freeze the can and its contents for a representative to pick up in the coming days.

"We take all consumer inquires seriously, and when a consumer has a bad experience, we work with them to determine the source of the problem and correct it. We also work with them to make up for their experience as best as we are able," said Dave Jackson with ConAgra Foods.
