CORNER BROOK, Newfoundland, April 5 (UPI) -- Two Canadian brothers adopted separately in Newfoundland as young children discovered they were living across the street from one another.

Stephen Goosney, 29, and Tommy Larkin, 30, had both registered to find their blood family with an adoption agency.

Last week, Larkin got an address of where his younger brother was living in Corner Brook -- and it was across the street from his own house, The Western Star newspaper reported.

After connecting, the men learned they both enjoy outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, both played hockey as teenagers and both worked as transport truck drivers, the newspaper said.

Despite living so close to one another for two years, the brothers hadn't had any communication, Goosney said.

"It's been good," he said. "We've been seeing each other pretty much everyday, just hanging out and trying to catch up."
