NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., April 1 (UPI) -- New Jersey police said a customer crawled through a McDonald's drive-through window and slapped an employee because he felt his food was too slow to arrive.
Sgt. James Ryan said the customer crawled into the window at the McDonald's in South Brunswick Township about 4:30 a.m. Sunday and shoved an employee against a counter, the (Newark) New Jersey Star-Ledger reported Thursday.
Police said the customer, who was reportedly upset about the amount of time employees were taking to deliver his food, then threatened the employee and slapped him in the face.
The attacker left the restaurant with a fish fillet sandwich, police said.
