Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe SANDY, Utah, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- A Utah burglar caught in the act had an honest response for an inquisitive homeowner: "I'm burglarizing your home," police said. Sandy police Sgt. Troy Arnold said the homeowner heard a strange noise at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and discovered a man had entered his home through a rear window and was loading items from the home into the resident's car, The Salt Lake Tribune reported Thursday. Advertisement Arnold said the homeowner demanded to know why the man was in his house and the suspect responded: "I am burglarizing your home." The resident dialed 911 and the man, who did not display any weapons or make any threats of violence, fled in a nearby car police said had earlier been reported stolen. Police said they got the car's license plate number from the homeowner and the suspect was pulled over and arrested without incident moments later. The 43-year-old man was taken to the Lake County Jail on suspicion of felony burglary, attempted car theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.
