Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- A California man pleaded no contest to charges stemming from allegations he tried to pay two boys at an elementary school to urinate in a cup. Prosecutors said Kevin Duron, 18, had faced felony counts of annoying or molesting a child but the charges were dropped in court Wednesday due to a lack of evidence and the suspect pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of failing to register before entering school grounds, KABC-TV, Los Angeles, reported Thursday. Advertisement Police Sgt. Brian Brown said Duran entered Pacific Elementary School in Manhattan Beach and offered money to two boys if they agreed to urinate into a cup. Brown said the boys declined the offer, which he said investigators believe was aimed at obtaining clean urine to pass a drug test. Duron was sentenced to three years of probation and 10 hours of community service with credit for three days served in jail. He was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from all elementary schools.
