ATHENS, Ga., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Police in Georgia said a customer angry about not being able to return items to a beauty shop smashed more than $1,000 worth of perfume bottles.
Athens-Clarke police said the woman attempted to return several items Saturday to Joy Joy Beauty in Athens, Ga., and became angry when she was told she could not make returns without a receipt, the Athens (Ga.) Banner-Herald reported Tuesday.
The police report said the woman knocked over a plastic display stand carrying hundreds of small perfume bottles priced at $3.50 each. The bottles shattered and spilled perfume across the floor of the shop.
The woman fled the store in a green van, police said.
