LONDON, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Abba tops the charts, Queen comes in second and Frank Sinatra places third among hits Britons love to belt out during karaoke, says a new ranking.

PRS for Music, a licensing organization that tracks music use to collect royalties for songwriters, came up with its top 25 hits performed in karaoke since the 1990s, when karaoke took off in Britain, The Telegraph reported.

No. 1 is "Waterloo" by Abba, the Swedish pop group, which also had the fifth most popular, "Dancing Queen."

The British rock band Queen took the second spot with "Bohemian Rhapsody" and No. 16 with "Don't Stop Me Now," and Sinatra's "My Way" rounded out the top three.

Karaoke is more popular among older age groups. Nine of the top 25 songs are from the 1970s, with seven each from the 1960s and 1980s.

"There is clearly a staple of karaoke favorites that recur. People tend to love a singalong and karaoke is the modern equivalent of people crowding around a piano," said Barney Hooper, a PRS for Music spokesman.
