Police in Upland were called at 2:44 a.m. Friday for help in dealing with customers fighting inside the store, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday. Advertisement The Upland Wal-Mart had stayed open all night as a security precaution after a Wal-Mart worker on Long Island, N.Y., was trampled to death last year when the crowd surged through the doors during the 2008 Black Friday opening. About an hour after the fighting in the Upland store, police were called to a Wal-Mart in Rancho Cucamonga for a fight that had broken out in the electronics section, the Times reported.
