Police: Men stole 477 bottles of liquor

MEMPHIS, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Police in Memphis said they have arrested two men in connection with the burglary of 477 bottles of alcohol from a liquor store.

Investigators said Lamont Spraggins, 29, was arrested Oct. 9 and Jeremy Stevenson, 19, was arrested Tuesday night in the Sept. 25 theft of more than $5,000 worth of alcohol from the Heart of Frayser liquor store, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reported Wednesday.

Police said three men and a juvenile broke into the store before 9 a.m. and loaded the liquor into a green Ford Explorer. Investigators said the thieves made two trips to transport their haul.

Two other suspects are listed on a police report, but it was unclear Wednesday whether they were in custody.
