WOODSTOCK, Ill., Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Workers at an Illinois chiropractic center said a lucky cat was uninjured when it stowed away in a box shipped to the business from Dallas.

Brett St. Aubin, clinic director at Chiro One Wellness Center in Woodstock, Ill., said he first noticed tufts of fur in the box of medical devices and soon discovered there was a live animal inside the package, the Chicago Tribune reported Friday.

"My first reaction was, I didn't know what kind of animal he was, so I closed the box back up," St. Aubin said.

The cat's collar gave his name, Cody, and contact information for its owners in Dallas.

Marie Webster, whose daughter owns the 2-year-old cat, said Cody apparently jumped into the box while it was being packed at the Chiro Design Group in Dallas.

"We're very, very, very happy to have him home," Webster told the Chicago Sun-Times. "He's a little skinny, but we'll fatten him up again in no time."
