SALEM, Ore., Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Authorities in Oregon say they arrested a burglary suspect dressed only in the underwear of his victim.
Lt. Sheila Lorance, a spokeswoman for the Marion County Sheriff's Office, said a woman called 911 about 10:05 p.m. Monday and said her boyfriend had found an intruder in her Salem garage, where her laundry is kept, The (Portland) Oregonian reported Wednesday.
Deputies arrived and arrested Randall Joseph Giesbers, 47, who they said was wearing nothing but the victim's underwear.
The victim told investigators many items of her clothing had gone missing in recent months and deputies found garbage bags full of women's clothing, underwear, shoes and accessories in the garage of the suspect, who lives near the victim.
Lorance said deputies also found illegal fireworks in Giesbers' garage that were turned over to Oregon State Police.
Giesbers was charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass and possession of illegal fireworks.
