ATLANTA, April 9 (UPI) -- The lyrics to three popular songs were altered to promote cleanliness and shopping at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, an official says.

Doug Strachan, City of Atlanta Department of Aviation creative innovations manager, said the songs targeted for a clean makeover were "Shake Your Groove Thing" by Peaches and Herb, "Bustin' Loose" by Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers and "Fantastic Voyage" by Lakeside, CNN reported Thursday.

After the makeover by Strachan, the songs became "Keep It Opening Day Fresh," "We're Steady Cleaning Up," and "Our New Concessions," respectively.

While the songs keep their basic musical melody, the new lyrics reflect the Atlanta airport's desire for clean facilities and increased business at the site's dining and shopping facilities.

Strachan appeared confident the unique marketing effort will prove fruitful.

"Whereas words reach the mind, music reaches the heart," he told CNN. "These are hit songs that people love ... real powerful, catchy and make you want to dance. If you can make someone dance, you can probably motivate them to do other things."
