Cheetos newest ally to Minn. police work

ST. PAUL, Minn., Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Police in St. Paul, Minn., say they followed a trail of Cheetos from a theft at a recreation center to a home where three teenage suspects were found.

A Ramsey County, Minn., District Court criminal complaint alleges that after police responded to a burglary report July 29 at the Arlington Recreation Center, they allegedly found a trail of the snack food leading from the scene of the crime, the St. Paul Pioneer Press said.

The complaint said police followed the Cheetos trail to a nearby home, where they allegedly found numerous bags of the cheesy snack foods and two bags of chips, the Star Tribune newspaper in Minneapolis said.

Three teenagers were found at the home and were arrested in connection with the crime, the complaint says.

The Pioneer Press said two of the teens face burglary charges in relation to the crime, while the third suspect is facing a charge of criminal damage to property.
