After four weeks and more than 3,400 miles, Buddy Rosenbaum, 71, and Bob Chase, 72, finished traveling the historic Lincoln Highway that spanned 14 states and 500 cities aboard a pair of Piaggio MP3 500 492-cc three-wheelers, the Daily News reported Tuesday. Advertisement "The Lincoln Highway is 3,400 miles of museum. It's a national treasure. And every day, another piece is gone," said Rosenbaum of the first national highway which runs from San Francisco to New York. "We've seen some incredible sights: the salt flats of Utah, the deserts of Nevada, the cornfields of Nebraska," Chase said, describing how the pair covered 100 to 150 miles a day while often stopping for photographs and conversations with people along the way. The elderly easy-riders are already planning their next trip -- along the length of the Alaskan Highway. "You have to keep the adrenaline flowing," Rosenbaum said.
