PINE BLUFF, Ark., June 20 (UPI) -- Police in Pine Bluff, Ark., said they arrested a man who allegedly drove a stolen car to meet with his parole officer.

Marcus George, 20, drove to the parole office in the Jefferson Square Shopping Center in a Dodge Charger that police said was reported stolen from a Sherwood, Ark., dealership, the Pine Bluff Commercial reported Friday.

Deputy Prosecutor Nicole Pugh said George told police that he and a man named Mike Williams had asked to test drive a Chrysler at Trotter Toyota and used that car to drive to Little Rock, where they left the Chrysler and allegedly drove back in the stolen Dodge.

George was charged with theft by receiving and theft of property. He was being held on a $10,000 bond.

He was released from jail last week after a 2007 conviction for burglary and theft of property.
