PAUL, Minn., May 24 (UPI) -- A minor league baseball team in Minnesota plans to turn a politician's humiliation into a box-office draw, handing out "bobblefoot" promotional items to fans. The St. Paul Saints of the American Association say the first 2,500 fans attending Sunday's game against the Fort Worth Cats would receive a "bobblefoot" -- a twist on popular bobblehead promotions paying tribute to baseball heroes. This item lampoons the August 2007 arrest of U.S. Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, in a men's room at Minneapolis-St, Paul International Airport. Advertisement The Saints said on their Web site the promotion would honor "tappers" on National Tap Dance Day, a reference to the foot-tapping that Craig allegedly used to signal interest in a sexual encounter with an undercover police officer. The "bobblefoot" design is a bathroom stall with a foot that "taps" up and down. "It doesn't matter if your tapping style is done with a 'wide stance' or is used as some sort of code," the team said on its Web site, "the Saints are asking all fans to tap to their heart's content on May 25." Advertisement The Senate Ethics Committee said in February Craig acted improperly in the restroom incident and "publicly admonished" him, but also decided to administer no formal punishment.
