ORANGE, Calif., May 3 (UPI) -- A suspicious material that led to a investigation at a California hospital, turned out to be Alfredo sauce mix and residue from vitamins, officials said.

The emergency ambulance entrance at St. Josephs Hospital in Orange, Calif., was shut down for close to five hours Friday after a female entered the building carrying a bag filled with a mysterious substance, the Los Angles Times reported.

"We had a situation where an unknown lady who was not feeling well walked into an emergency room with an unknown substance and then exposed an officer who also wasn't feeling well," said Ian MacDonald, a spokesman for the Orange Fire Department.

It is reported that FBI agents, health department officials, an emergency medical agency, hazardous-materials workers and police arrived to examine the situation.

The woman and police officer were "feeling fine" and in "stable and excellent" condition after the incident, fire department spokesman Norm Glastetter said.
