FREDONIA, Wis., April 18 (UPI) -- Three motorists in Fredonia, Wis., said they all had the same idea at the same time when they boxed in a reckless and allegedly drunken driver at a stop light.

Glenn Blumenberg, 63, Tammie Niffenegger, 43, and a third driver did not communicate with one another before moving their vehicles to block the driver of a pickup truck from continuing to drive erratically, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Friday.

Blumenberg maneuvered his own pickup truck to block the driver from the front, Niffenegger blocked it from the back and the third motorist did the same on the side.

Niffenegger's daughter phoned police while Blumenberg confronted the driver and confiscated his keys.

Police officers who arrived on the scene said the driver, Gilberto Gil-Flores, 26, failed two field sobriety tests. He was cited for first-offense drunken driving, driving with an open can of beer and not having a driver's license.
