WINNIPEG, Manitoba, April 2 (UPI) -- A Canadian stand-up comic who performed non-stop for more than 8 1/2 hours in Winnipeg, Manitoba, says his bladder got the best of him.

Big Daddy Tazz, 40, took no breaks Tuesday at the Gas Station Theater as his audience varied between 100 and 200 people between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., the Winnipeg Sun reported.

He said he decided to break a record set by U.S. comedian Dane Cook who did a 7-hour set at Hollywood's Laugh Factory last December, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., said. However, comedian Robby Wagner gave a 10-hour routine on March 9 at Toso's Sports Grill in Phoenix, an Internet search of news releases showed..

Part of Tazz's 88-page set list included references to his own battles with bipolar depression and attention deficit disorder, the Sun said.

He sustained himself throughout the day on Red Bull energy drinks, two bananas and a slice of pizza but admitted to having bladder discomfort during the last hour, the Sun said.

"But I had another hour or two of material that I could have done," he said.
