BREMERTON, Wash., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- A Bremerton, Wash., woman has admitted to police that she may have accidentally placed a bag of meth into the deposit slot of a local ATM, court documents said.
Documents filed in Kitsap County Superior Court said the 18-year-old woman told police she has used methamphetamine and may have mistakenly placed some of the substance in a deposit envelope while she was attempting to put money into her bank account, the Kitsap (Wash.) Sun reported Wednesday.
A Kitsap Credit Union employee contacted police after the bag of suspected drugs was found in an envelope inserted into the ATM for deposit into the woman's bank account. The bag tested positive for meth, and the woman was arrested Thursday.
She has been charged with one felony count of possession of methamphetamine.
