Reports: Cross-dresser modeling in road

PORTLAND, Maine, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Female motorists in Maine have reported a man dressed in women's underwear getting out of his car and modeling in the middle of the highway.

Cumberland County Sheriff Mark Dion said his office has received six reports of the man pulling in front of female motorists, stopping his car and walking onto the highway to model his women's underwear, garter belt and black high-heeled boots, WMTW-TV, Auburn, Maine, reported.

"The behavior is not necessarily criminal in terms of dress," Dion said. "But the fact he's jumping out in roadways and apparently targeting females who are alone driving their cars seems to suggest to us we have to talk to him."

Deputies said the woman who reported the most recent incident, which took place Feb. 3, said the man cut her off before stopping his car in front of hers and jumping out onto the roadway. The deputies said the woman got a good look at the man, who is being described as a "person of interest" and provided police with a description.

The man has been seen driving a black sedan and a red pickup truck. He was described as in his late 20s or early 30s with a thin build and a brown mustache.
