JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Nov. 16 (UPI) -- A Florida woman tickled the ivories into the Guinness World Record book, playing the piano for 65 hours straight before going home to catch a nap.
Pat Jones of Jacksonville played her final note shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday, lasting an hour longer than the 64-hour record set last year, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported. She said she originally was going to play until 6 p.m. Thursday.
People dropped by Teresa's Piano Gallery in Jacksonville to watch and listen, the Fort Lauderdale newspaper said. Jones had an audience throughout her playing although the overnight hours were worst for her, said Stan Jordan, the stage legislator who helped organize the event.
"Between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., that was awful for her," Jordan said.
