SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- A 31-year-old San Antonio woman who was convicted of sneaking into weddings to steal presents was invited to spend the next year in prison.

After pleading guilty earlier this year to charges that she would steal gifts from area weddings, Robin Neafie was sentenced to one year in prison this week by U.S. District Judge Xavier Rodriguez, The San Antonio Express-News said Saturday.

A news release from a U.S. attorney's office said stolen digital cameras and Palm Pilots were found by police during a search of Neafie's home in 2006.

Also found in her apartment were newspaper listings of upcoming weddings, likely targets for the professional wedding crasher.

The Express-News said that Rodriguez also ordered Neafie to serve two years of supervised release following her prison time and pay more than $6,900 in restitution.
