LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- A 10-year-old skateboarder is alive today despite being temporarily trapped under a moving car recently in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Times said Sunday that while witnesses who saw 10-year-old Danny White become trapped under a Honda Pilot Sept. 20 feared for his life, the young skateboarder escaped with only minor injuries.

Witness Ron Dobson said when he saw White hanging on the car's front bumper for dear life, he immediately ran out to warn the driver of her uninvited passenger.

"Lady, you were dragging a kid under your car," he said he told Myra Crowe when she exited her car bewildered.

Crowe told the Times that if the child had been unable to hold on or if he hadn't been sitting on his skateboard when he moved in front of her car, her life would be very different right now.

"I'd be on Prozac the rest of my life, or whatever the new drug is," the thankful driver said.
