SHEBOYGAN, Wis., June 28 (UPI) -- A Sheboygan, Wis., man has been charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after he allegedly stomped a boy's pet fish to death.
Anastacio Molina Jr. was charged with the misdemeanor counts, which include penalty enhancers due to a previous conviction for child abuse, the Sheboygan Press reported Thursday. He could be fined $11,000 if convicted.
A criminal complaint filed Thursday said police arrived at Molina's home Tuesday after a caller reported he was destroying objects in the home he shared with his girlfriend and her 12-year-old son. The boy told police that an Oscar fish they found on the sidewalk outside the home had allegedly been stomped to death by Molina after he ordered the woman to leave the home.
The fish was estimated to be worth between $100 and $150.
