CHICAGO, June 23 (UPI) -- A Chicago man was arrested after police set out to find a robber who looked like actor Samuel L. Jackson.

Richard Mason, 49, was charged with armed robbery Thursday after a 37-year-old man was robbed at an ATM machine and slashed with a box cutter, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The victim told the police, "The guy looks just like Samuel L. Jackson," said police spokesman Pat Camden.

Detectives searched the area and asked the security guard at the nearby YMCA, "Anybody here look like Samuel L. Jackson?" The guard gave them the name of Mason, who was a resident of the Y, Camden said. When he was arrested, Mason had the victim's cell phone.

A man who knew Mason from the Y said he never noticed the Samuel L. Jackson resemblance but he did think Mason looked like actor Danny Glover.

"It could go either way," Camden said.
