Bjorn Magne of Klove found the giant weed, which measured 42 inches, while on a hike through the forest with his mother, the newspaper Aftenposten said Tuesday. Advertisement "It was a bit in the shade and must have stretched to come up into sunlight," he told newspaper Bergens Tidende. His mother Nina told Aftenposten her son is an avid reader of the Guinness record book, which said the longest registered dandelion -- measuring 39 inches -- was found in Sweden in 2003.
