NEW YORK, May 30 (UPI) -- Tests have reportedly shown several New York delis have recently been selling counterfeit Trojan Magnums, an extra-large brand of condoms.

Allhiphop.com said Wednesday tests on several packages of the condoms from the unidentified delis showed the contraceptives inside were smaller than the actual brand.

In addition to their ego-inflating size, the counterfeit condoms also came with a sweet-smelling fragrance and were wrapped in plastic.

The real Trojan Magnum comes in a heavy foil wrapper that can easily be bent.

Other counterfeit versions of the condoms have also appeared in Detroit and parts of New Jersey.

A statement from Church & Dwight, Trojan's parent company, warned, "We cannot vouch for the safety and efficacy of counterfeit products."

Based on that warning, the company recommended those who may have used the counterfeit contraceptives to take cautionary medical steps, the Web site said.
