Paul King, 27, told the Edinburgh Sheriff Court he was being assaulted in a third-floor apartment, so he flung the bottle out the window to try and summon help, the Daily Record said Tuesday. Advertisement For his effort, King was fined Monday about $782 and admonished by Sheriff Kenneth Maciver for his "act of stupidity," the newspaper said.
