School officials decided to investigate the incident after police decided not to take action, the Telegraph reported. Advertisement The alleged incident left 5-year-old Luke Wilson with an eye irritation believed to have been caused by exposure to the machine's ultraviolet light, the newspaper said. Luke's parents, Jane and Anthony Wilson, were reportedly told his face was photo-copied during a "light and dark" experiment. The parents were given a copy of the image of their son's face and a hand that is believed to be that of the former teacher. "Photo-copiers can be dangerous because they give off ultraviolet light which can cause damage to the eye, which is why they have covers over them," the boy's mother told the Telegraph. "We feel the potential dangers should have been considered." An official at the school said she was unable to comment while the incident was being investigated.
