LONDON, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- A contestant on Britain's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" says a mix-up over an answer cost him $180,000.
The Sun newspaper reports Johnny Hero says he deserves another chance on the show after losing $180,000 when he was eliminated over the answer to the question "Who was the monarch when Sir Robert Walpole became the first British prime minister?"
He said it was George II but host Chris Tarrant told him the correct response was George I and slashed Hero's winnings to $62,000.
Hero now says Walpole was never officially prime minister because the title was not recognized at the time. He said the "grey area" over the question means he should be allowed back on the show.
The show's producers have rejected Hero's argument, the newspaper said.
