CLEVELAND, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- A survey finds that Valentine's Day has become a holiday for family and friends as well as for love objects.

American Greetings, which makes gift wrap and other holiday items along with cards, polled 3,000 people. The survey found that half of all women plan to send cards to female friends and their own children.

Women are more likely than men to send cards, but 60 percent of men polled say it's important to get one.

Angelina Jolie was the No. 1 celebrity that men said they would like to exchange cards with, followed by Jennifer Anniston and then Nicole Kidman, Oprah Winfrey and Terri Hatcher in a three-way tie. For women, Oprah Winfrey ranked higher than Brad Pitt.

Exchanging cards was the top activity for the holiday, followed by having a holiday dinner, spending time with loved ones and exchanging gifts like candy and flowers.
