LONDON, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- British high school students will be able to get class credit for puppet shows in a government plan being considered for 2008.
High school students will be able to get credit for a project that is "a single piece of work requiring detailed planning, preparation and independent study" and education officials said Friday that included works of art, plays and puppetry, the Daily Telegraph reported Saturday.
"Oral presentations could also be important, with the wider skills of problem solving and working with others," David Mackay, of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, told a conference.
Mackay said a puppet show written and produced by students at Warwickshire College of Further Education encouraged primary school children to make healthy eating choices.
