ERLANGEN, Germany, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- A young kangaroo who hopped to freedom in southern Germany eluded capture for a fourth day Wednesday.

Police, firefighters, two veterinarians and owner Alexandra Lux have been searching the town of Erlangen for the 18-month-old kangaroo named Jumpy, with no success, the BBC reported.

The 20-inch-tall marsupial was spotted in the courtyard of a business Tuesday, but scampered away before he could be corralled.

Jumpy pulled his first break-out a week ago, but soon returned. This time, animal experts cautioned his owner that kangaroos can live a long time in the wild, eating grass.
