Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe MOORESTOWN, N.J., July 28 (UPI) -- Tut's Pup, aka Tupper or Nipper the Dog Pharaoh, is back in place in a South Jersey suburb of Philadelphia. The statue was kidnapped from the Lutheran Home in Moorestown. Advertisement Nipper, the dog listening to "his master's voice," was once the totem of the Victor Talking Machine Co., which was headquartered in nearby Camden. Tupper was one of 30 Nippers in Moorestown this summer as an art project and charity endeavor. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Pennsauken Police, acting on a tip, found Tupper on Thursday night near the New Jersey end of the Betsy Ross Bridge. To add insult to injury, the Lutheran Home stands on the site of the home of Eldridge Johnson, founder of the Victor company. The Moorestown Nipper 2005 Committee plans to auction its 30 Nippers in October, with the proceeds going to a non-profit organization.
