The newspaper Aftenposten reported King Harald was sailing off Stockholm in the European Championships. While flags flew in her honor around the country, the queen reportedly planned to spend the day at the royal summer residence on the island of Tjome, two hours south of Oslo. Advertisement The king told the newspaper VG he feels better than he has in years after treatment for cancer and heart disease. "In such situations you really feel how much family means," the king said. He said he has especially enjoyed visits from his grandchildren and is glad Crown Prince Haakon and his wife are expecting another child.
