CAMPBELL, Calif., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Police in Campbell, Calif., are looking for a surveillance-camera thief whose image was captured just before he swiped it.
At least three security cameras have been stolen in Campbell in recent weeks, and police believe their suspect is reselling them to other homeowners and businesses, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
But now that a man in his 30s has provided his crystal-clear mug shot by peering into a camera lens before disabling it -- as well as timestamp information and a good look at his Ford truck, complete with white stripes and camper shell, police think their job may suddenly get a lot easier.
"When these guys help us do our job, I'm very happy," Campbell Police Sgt. Richard Shipman said Thursday.
