Hotel guests leave behind phone chargers

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Hotel guests leave a variety of belongings behind when they check out, but the most frequent items appear to be their cell phone chargers.

Hotel guests also leave their false teeth, sex toys, canes, toothbrushes, camping cots and full liquor bottles, the Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Sun reported Monday.

"Once we found a triple-X movie sitting in the VCR, so I ended up mailing it to (the teenage guests') parents," said Greg Williams, president of Myrtle Beach Rooms for Rent.

Joe Towery, of the Holiday Inn Oceanfront, says cell phone chargers are most often left behind by hotel guests.

Hotels hold on to items left behind by guests, but many remain unclaimed.

"They usually call back for their teeth," Towery said.
