TOLEDO, Ohio, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Detroit's Charley Marcuse, the internationally noted singing hot dog vendor, will perform his arias for the Tiger's Triple-A club in Ohio.
The minor league baseball Toledo Mud Hens have invited Marcuse, 22, to sing his "HoOoOtT DoOoOgGs" as many times as he wants Saturday night when they face the Louisville Bats. The Tigers allow Marcuse only one aria per game.
Marcuse said he'll belt out his song three times an inning.
Marcuse drew worldwide attention when Tigers officials told him in May to stifle his singing. He wound up singing on "Good Morning America" and was interviewed by the British Broadcasting Corp.
Fans responded with a Web site, petitions and T-shirts proclaiming, "Let Charley Sing."
Now Marcuse sings only during a special promotion for hot dogs, which is broadcast during the second inning on the large scoreboard at Comerica Park.
