While 42 percent of women in the United States got flowers last year, only 8 percent wanted flowers, while 13 percent got chocolate only 3 percent wanted chocolate and while 8 percent got a cuddly toy only 3 percent wanted one.

None of the women surveyed got an weekend break although it's what 18 percent wanted and while 14 percent got sexy underwear, 26 percent wanted some.

Fourteen percent of the men got sexy underwear while 26 percent wanted sexy underwear, and 10 percent got a weekend break, but 33 percent wanted one.

MOST WON'T MARRY A FRIEND

Nearly 75 percent of those surveyed by the Web site Matchmaker.com say considering a long-term platonic friend as a spouse is a mistake.

Of those who had tried dating friends, women were three times as likely as men to say it was a bad idea and it ruined the friendship.

However, 72 percent of the men say it was "great while it lasted, but it just didn't work out."

PREGNANCY PARKING PROPOSED

California Assemblyman Tony Strickland is proposing allowing pregnant women park their cars in handicapped spaces.

"A lot of (the pregnant women) gave me stories about how they didn't go to the mall or supermarket because they couldn't walk all the way from a normal parking spot," says the Republican state lawmaker.

Advocates for the physically challenged say they don't want to deny pregnant women but there is a shortage of parking spaces now.

California had more than 500,000 births in 2000, requiring an increase of 20 percent in temporary parking placards, reports the Los Angeles Daily News.

Meanwhile, some women are concerned pregnancy may begin to be interpreted as a disability.

The one-stop online diet and healthy living Web site finds 35 percent feel Paris Hilton and Nick Carter will have the least romantic Cupid's holiday.
