David Watkins denies assaulting the unidentified 11-year-old boy at a school last November, the Glasgow Evening Times reported. Advertisement Prosecutor Joe Ghirardello told magistrates the assault happened while Watkins tried to make the boy, now 12, put the fish head in a garbage bin. He said four children and two adults, including a teacher, would testify for the prosecution. Ghirardello said Watkins had told the boy to put the fish head into the bins, but he had dropped it and was "loath to pick it up." "Watkins shouted at the boy using phrases such as, 'pick it up you pathetic creature' and 'if you cannot pick it up I am going to shove it down your throat,'" said the lawyer. Watkins told police he had simply taken hold of the boy's hand and bent him towards the fish head. The trial resumes Thursday.
