Not only are there more of them, but an urban entomologist, Dennis Ferraro, told the Omaha World Herald the bugs are hungry. Advertisement Ferraro says the grasshoppers have developed a big appetite for nylon screens. Said Ferraro, "The grasshoppers are devouring them like there's no tomorrow." Ferraro said they might be drawn to the screens by the soft, wavy material.
