POLL: MOST COUNTRY FANS PUT OFF BY MAINES REMARK

Most country music fans say they're less likely to buy a Dixie Chicks recording than they were before Natalie Maines' remark about President Bush, a survey has found.

Fifty-eight percent of 1,200 people tell an online survey that they'd be less inclined to spend money on a Dixie Chicks product because of the comment and the backlash over it.

Maines said during a concert in London March 10 that she was ashamed that Bush is from the trio's home state of Texas.
