MUSIC AND MORE PAISLEY ON PRIMETIME SITCOM Country star Brad Paisley has a role on ABC's primetime sitcom "According to Jim" Tuesday. The show, which features Paisley's real-life fiancee Kimberly Williams, depicts Paisley as her character's musician boyfriend "who can get Jim the gig of his dreams," the singer's Web site says. The show stars Jim Belushi in the title role opposite Courtney Thorne-Smith. Paisley's "I Wish You'd Stay" is No. 15 on Billboard's singles chart. LIGHTFOOT OUT OF HOSPITAL After more than three months in the hospital for an abdominal disorder, Canadian singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot is resting at home. The Hamilton, Ontario, hospital released no information on Lightfoot's condition, while Canadian media report his manager saying only that the singer is up and around and in good spirits. Advertisement Lightfoot, 64, was hospitalized Sept. 8 after becoming ill prior to a performance in his hometown of Orillia, Ontario. He was found to have internal bleeding triggered by a rare blood vessel disorder. Lightfoot, whose career has spanned more than four decades, is best known for "If You Could Read My Mind" and "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald." ALAN RACKS UP FIVE MORE AWARDS Alan Jackson has won five Country Weekly Fan Favorite awards. Jackson took fan favorite awards for entertainer, male artist, collaborative song for "Designated Drinker" with George Strait, song with "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)" and album with "Drive," Jackson's Web site said. Jackson won five Country Music Association awards last month.
